It’s in the name: Organic Brothers’ vegetables are organic. But organic is more than just a label. Organic agriculture means working with nature and treating it with respect. The entire production process from start to finish has to meet stringent requirements.
Organic Brothers & organic certification
All Organic Brothers products are organic and bear the European Commission’s organic certification. This is the well-known green leaf with stars. The certification shows that all the links in the chain meet strict European regulations and legislation for organic food. The monitoring is done by Skal Biocontrole. Skal’s mandate is to prove that organic products have been indeed produced organically. It does this for the benefit of the buyers and consumers.
What actually is organic?
The name ‘organic’ is protected by law. An agricultural product or food item may be labelled ‘organic’ only if the production process meets specific legal requirements. The regulations are determined by the European Commission, and in the Netherlands the entire organic chain is monitored by Skal. Consumers are thus assured that the products in their hands really are organic.
Anyone wishing to produce, process, package, import, trade or store organic products must be certified. This applies to all the companies throughout the chain, right down to the shops that sell the packaged products directly to the end consumers.
Organic Brothers is one of the 3,700 certified organic companies in the Netherlands and as such, you can eat our products with a clear conscience.
How we work
Organic vegetables are given the time to grow. And to grow under good circumstances. This makes them delicious and pure. What do you need for this?
